Microsoft Visual Basic is another good environment in which to develop Office Compatible products, particularly Office solutions (i.e., applications that use OLE automation to access and exploit Office's functionality). Visual Basic also makes it easy to include the features needed to pass Office Compatible testing, and it is available through standard retail channels.
