Microsoft® OLE DB for OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) is a set of objects and interfaces that extends OLE DB to provide access to multidimensional data sources. This chapter provides a basic understanding of the design goals of OLE DB for OLAP for this version and future directions for the specification.
