Vertical glyph substitution

Far East TrueType fonts can support vertical writing by providing special vertical forms of certain characters. These forms are indexed using the data formats of TrueType Open, Microsoft's extensible architecture for international typography. GDI will substitute the vertical glyphs when an application requests a vertical writing font.
