Embedded bitmaps

TrueType fonts and TrueType Collections can include bitmap data inside the font file. Embedded bitmaps are also called "scaler bitmaps" or, more commonly, "sbits". The TrueType rasterizer includes a font driver for both outlines and bitmaps, so the behavior of embedded bitmaps within a TrueType font is transparent to the client.
