Returns or sets the font style of the Font object to either italic or non-italic.
object.Italic [= boolean]
The parts of the Italic property syntax are described in the following table.
Part | Description |
---|---|
object | An object expression that evaluates to an object. |
boolean | A Boolean expression specifying the font style as described in Settings. |
The settings for boolean are described in the following table.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
True | Turns on italic formatting. |
False | (Default). Turns off italic formatting. |
The Font object is not directly available at design time. Instead, set the Italic property by selecting a control's Font property in the Properties window and clicking the Properties button. In the Font Style box of the Font dialog box, select either Italic or Bold Italic. At run time, however, set Italic directly by specifying its setting for the Font object.
