Changing Which Properties Appear
See Also
When you show a database table in Column Properties view, most but not all of that table’s property columns are visible without scrolling. You can customize this view by choosing whether to hide or show each property column in a database table. For example, you could hide the Precision and Scale properties, which you rarely change, in order to show more of the frequently changed properties.
To hide a property column
-
In your database diagram, select the table whose property column you want to hide.
-
Position the pointer along the right border of the column header for the column that you want to hide. The cursor changes from an arrow to a splitter pointer .
-
Drag the column border to the left until it meets the column’s left border.
-
Release the mouse button.
To show a property column that is hidden
-
In your database diagram, select the table whose property column you want to show.
-
Position the pointer along the right border of the previous column’s header. The cursor changes from an arrow to a splitter pointer .
-
Double-click the splitter pointer. The hidden column resizes to fit the widest entry.
Note You can also set which column properties you want to display for database tables in a database diagram by using Custom view. For information on this view, see Changing a Table View.
