Source Control Tab (File Properties Dialog Box)
See Also Tasks
Use this tab to view source control information about a file and to determine whether the project that this file is in has been added to source control. If the Web application containing this file is not under source control, no source control information for the file is shown. If it is, you can view the checkout status of the file, including who checked it out and when.
-
If your Web server is running Microsoft® Windows® 95, or Windows NT® using the File Allocation Tables (FAT) file system, then all files checked out through Microsoft® Visual SourceSafe™ will always be checked out to the same user account. This user account might not represent the user performing the operation.
-
On a Windows NT FAT system, the Anonymous user account performs all source control operations on the server. The Checked out by property on the Source Control tab displays the name of the Anonymous user account. On a Windows 95 system, the user account specified when Windows 95 was started performs all source control operations on the server.
