The DDK includes sample device drivers for audio hardware. These samples illustrate how to write drivers for waveform input and output devices, MIDI input and output devices, auxiliary devices, and mixer devices. There are also samples of virtual devices (VxDs). You should refer to these samples while using the documentation, to clarify the use and organization of the functions, messages, and structures.
