Shortcut Keys for Transfer Operations

Following are the defined shortcut techniques for transfer operations.

Shortcut

Operation

CTRL+C

Performs a Copy command.

CTRL+V

Performs a Paste command.

CTRL+drag

Toggles the meaning of the default direct manipulation transfer operation to be a copy operation (provided the destination can support the copy operation). The modifier may be used with either mouse button.

ESC

Cancels a drag and drop transfer operation.

Because of the wide use of these command shortcut keys throughout the interface, do not reassign them to other commands.
