Magnifying is an operation that makes a portion of an image document page appear larger on the screen, so that greater detail may be viewed. It differs from zooming in, which makes the entire image document page appear larger.
A special magnifier window appears on the image page when magnification is invoked. Only the part of the image directly beneath the magnifier window is enlarged.
The magnifier window can be moved and resized by the user at run time. It is ideal for examining portions of an image close up.
