Platform SDK: Broadcast Architecture |
Your application can use the Microsoft® ActiveX® control for video (the Video control, Vid.ocx) to manage audio and video streams. This control also enables your application to interact with the Video Access server, Vidsvr.exe.
In the current version of Broadcast Architecture, the input stream that the Video control displays is a live stream, such as an analog television broadcast received through a television tuner card.
Because the Video control is an ActiveX control, it cannot exist outside of a container application. Examples of containers are application windows, forms written using the Microsoft® Visual Basic® development system, and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) pages displayed in Web browsers.
