Optionally, you can configure automatic notifications for the new job created in the preceding procedure, Scheduling Automatic Overdue Notices.
To set up automatic notifications upon job completion
- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, and then click Enterprise Manager. The SQL Server Enterprise Manager appears.
- Expand the SQL Server Group and then expand the server on which the FmLib database is installed.
- Within that server, expand the SQL Server Agent subfolder of the Management folder.
- Click Jobs.
- In the content pane, right-click the job created in the preceding procedure (Scheduling Automatic Overdue Notices), and click Properties.
- Click the Notifications tab.
- Select the Email Operator check box, and select the name of the operator to whom notifications will be sent. If no operator names appear, you will need to set up a new operator by selecting "[New Operator]".
- Select the notification interval from the drop-down list box. You will most likely want to use "Whenever the job completes" in this step.
- Click OK to close the Job Properties dialog box.
