Server and developer computers should meet the following requirements:
A computer going through Microsoft BackOffice testing must first pass the current Microsoft Windows NT Hardware Compatibility tests. For more information see the Microsoft Web site.
If a computer is available in a "bare-bones" configuration, it will be tested with industry standard add-in options.
If a computer is available completely configured as a server, it will be tested in that hardware configuration.
The computer must include any and all configuration utilities required.
The computer must have at least 256 KB of secondary cache per CPU.
The computer must not have an embedded single-FIFO dual-channel IDE controller.
SCSI-based systems must be SCSI2-compliant.
