Grouping Fields
Grouping fields by functional area and arranging the areas in a logical sequence make the forms easier to use. The frames around each area create visual organization and increase legibility. Using the same grouping on the Outlook pages and Web pages creates consistency between the two user interfaces. The critique information falls into four categories:
- The Reviewer section contains the name of the reviewer and the date of the critique. In the LitCrit Outlook application these fields appear only on the read page and are read-only. The CML Submit Critique and Display Critique Web pages display the name of the reviewer and the date of the critique.
- The Description section contains information about the title, that is, the media type, the title, and the authors. When the reviewer chooses a title from the library or responds to a request to submit a critique of a particular title this section is read-only. The reviewer has the option to post a critique to the LitCrit public folder without making the critique available to the library by using the LitCrit Outlook form. The description section of the form is editable and the user enters description information.
- The Evaluation section consists of four ratings: technical, job relevance, clarity of presentation, and overall rating. Each rating is chosen from a drop-down list box when the form is in edit mode or appears in a text box when the form is in read mode.
- The Critique section contains the critique title and the critique text. When the form is in add mode the default critique title is the title of the item being critiqued. The critique title can be changed when the form is in add or edit mode.
