When the LitCrit Outlook Application is Missing
When the LitCrit Outlook application is not available the critique-enhanced CML can continue to function as a library application, but all critique references on CML Web pages must be hidden and the critique Web pages, Choose Critique, Submit Critique, and Display Critique, must not be displayed. Changes to the critique-enhanced CML in stand-alone mode are:
- The View Critiques button, the link to the Choose Critique Web page, does not appear on the Search Details Web page because there are no critiques to display. When the Choose Critique Web page is hidden, the access to the Display Critique and Submit Critique Web pages from this page is also unavailable.
- The Add Critiques button, the link to the Submit Critique Web page, does not appear on the Search Details Web page and it is not possible to submit a critique from the CML.
- Approval Required, Approver Email Address, and Maximum Choose Title Results fields on the Application Settings Web page that manage critique functionality of the CML are hidden and disabled. It would do no harm to have these fields available, since they only update fields in the installed FmLib database, but their content serves no purpose when critique functionality is not in use.
- The Avg. Critique Rating of a title no longer appears on the Search Details and the Search Results Web pages. This rating, stored in the title table of the FmLib database, is the average of the overall ratings for all critiques of the title. Since there are no critiques — hence no overall ratings — the content of the field is always zero.
