Synchronizing SQL Server and Exchange Data

To provide the best performance for the critique-enhanced Corporate Media Library (CML) Web application the critique data elements the CML uses most often are stored redundantly in the FmLib SQL Server™ database tables and the Microsoft® Exchange Server information store. The less frequently requested information is only available from the Exchange information store. The LitCrit Outlook® application always displays information from Exchange.

The duplication of information means the two data stores must be kept in sync. Since you can initiate the modifications to data from the CML application or from the LitCrit Outlook application it is necessary to initiate add, change, and delete actions in SQL Server tables whenever the Exchange information store is updated and vice versa.
