The Stand-Alone LitCrit Application: This is the book club's Outlook form that is adapted to work with the CML. The LitCrit stand-alone Microsoft® Outlook® application is the literary critique tool designed and used by the Fitch & Mather book club. The book club used this LitCrit form to compose and read critiques for a long time before the Corporate Media Library (CML) application was written.
Anyone with access to the LitCrit public folder can use the LitCrit form to read and post critiques. After a reader posts a critique to the LitCrit public folder that resides on the Fitch & Mather Exchange Server computer, the critique can be viewed in that folder immediately. This simple application has no approval process (see Approving or Rejecting a Critique), nor is critique information shared with the FmLib database (see Updating the FmLib Database).
The book club's LitCrit Outlook form enforces few rules about form completion, and form information is not validated. The only requirement is that the reviewer enter a book title and select an overall rating for the book.
