Updating the CML MTS Package
If this the first time you have installed the CML on this computer, you can use the Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) Explorer to install the Corporate Media Library package. The easiest way to do this is with the CML.pak file, found in the InetPub\wwwroot\FmLib folder.
To install the CML MTS package
- Start the Microsoft Transaction Server. Do this by clicking Start, pointing to Programs, and pointing to Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack. Then point to Microsoft Transaction Server and then Transaction Server Explorer.
- Double-click to expand the Microsoft Transaction Server node. Then expand Computers and expand My Computer.
- Click Packages Installed and then right-click Packages Installed. Point to New, and click Package. The Package Wizard is displayed.
- Click Install pre-built packages.
- In the Select Package Files dialog box, click Add. Using the Install from Package File dialog box, find the CML.pak file located in the InetPub\wwwroot\FmLib folder. Click Open, and then click Next.
- The default selection in the Set Package Identity dialog box is Interactive User. The interactive user is the user that logged on to the Windows NTŪ account for the computer that runs the package. You can select a different user by selecting the This user option and entering details for a specific Windows NT user. After you have made a selection click Next.
- In the Installation Options dialog box, accept the default installation folder path: <system root>\Program Files\MTS\Packages. The component files are copied from the package file folder to the installation folder, in our case, the FmLib folder.
- Click Finish. The MTS snap-in hierarchy now shows the new package in the right pane.
- Expand the new Corporate Media Library node, and then the Roles node. Two roles will appear, Admin and User.
- Expand the Admin node, and select the Users node, then right-click. On the context menu, point to New, and then select User.
- Type the name of the user you wish to add in the Add Names text box, or select the name from the Names list. For the Admin role, you will need to add the Library Admins account created in the Creating Group Accounts in Windows NT Server procedure. Also make sure to add the Microsoft Exchange Server service account, if it is not included in the Library Admins local group. Click OK to close the Add New Users and Groups to Role dialog box.
Note If you are installing the CML/LitCrit scenario after having installed the CML application, you will need to add the new LitCrit server-side component to the existing MTS package. Using the Windows NT Explorer, locate LITCRIT.DLL (installed previously in the InetPub\wwwroot\FmLib\Component\LitCrit\x86 folder). You can drag this file from Windows NT Explorer to the right pane of MTS Explorer while the Corporate Media Library package is open to the Components node.
