Navigating Within an Opened Form

Each form contains several pages that you can open by clicking the labeled tab at the top of the page. Some of these pages store data or settings and others can hold controls that are visible at run time. Only one of the pages is set by default to be visible when the form is run; this is the page called "message," which was renamed in the EnhancedLitCrit form to "Others." Pages not set to be visible at run time are shown with their titles in parentheses. (See Illustration of the IPM.Post.EnhancedLitCrit Form.) You can make a hidden page visible by clicking the page and then clicking Display This Page on the Form menu.

Each of the potentially visible pages in a form can optionally have two versions. To enable a second version, open the page and then click Separate Read Layout on the Form menu. After making this selection, you can switch between the read and compose versions by clicking Edit Compose Page or Edit Read Page on the Form Design toolbar or on the Form menu.

The pages called (All Fields), (Properties), and (Actions) are hidden. The (All Fields) page lets you read and set the values of the form's fields; see Working with Fields. The (Properties) page lets you set other general usability properties for the form, such as assigning it a password for entry to design mode and changing the form's icon to be displayed in folders.

The (Actions) page displays standard actions that this form takes in response to user choices such as Reply or Forward, and custom actions such as Approve or Reject. See Actions Supported by the LitCrit Form and Coding the LitCrit Form's Actions.
