Sharing Critiques with the LitCrit Outlook Application

During the design process it became clear that unless the reviewer explicitly chooses the item to review from a list of titles that exist in the title table of the FmLib database, it is not possible to be certain which title the critique is for. For example, a reviewer might misspell the title, so that the critique could not be attached to a matching title in the title table. In another case, the database could contain multiple titles of the same name and extensive dialog would be required to resolve the ambiguity and attach the critique to the intended title. When reviewers submit critiques from the enhanced LitCrit Outlook® application they need a way to search the library database and select the title they want to review.

The enhanced LitCrit Outlook application now has two forms that work together to make critiques submitted from Outlook® available to the critique-enhanced CML:

• The Add Critique to Library dialog box gives users the choice of sharing their critiques with the library application.
• The Choose Title dialog box provides a way to search the FmLib database and select a title to review from the database.
