Microsoft Visual Studio Tools Used to Build CML/LitCrit
The following tools available in and languages supported by Microsoft® Visual Studio® 6.0 were used to build the components and connect the tiers in the Corporate Media Library (CML) application:
- Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0. Microsoft Visual Basic® was used both for the COM components of the original CML application and for the new COM component of the enhanced CML application that works with the LitCrit form.
- Microsoft Visual InterDev 6.0. Microsoft Visual InterDev™ was used to add new Web pages to the CML application to let it work with LitCrit.
- Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript). VBScript was used in the same ways as in the CML, plus as the scripting language for the agent that monitors events in the LitCrit public folder and for the script in the LitCrit form itself.
- Microsoft JScript. The use of JScript® did not change from that in the original CML application, although JScript could have been used to code the agent that monitors events in the LitCrit public folder.
- Dynamic HTML (DHTML). The use of DHTML did not change from that in the original CML application.
