The new critique application — called "CML/LitCrit" and defined as the critique-enhanced Corporate Media Library (CML) Web application working together with the updated LitCrit Outlook® form — provides both CML and LitCrit users with convenient ways to contribute their opinions of library titles and to read critiques of titles submitted by their fellow employees. To minimize ramp-up time, the combined application is designed to let reviewers continue using the client interface they prefer, either Internet Explorer or Outlook.
In addition to making critiques more visible within the Fitch & Mather Corporation, the new application should also address management concerns about critique content by including an approval process.
The library application from Scenario 1: Fitch & Mather Corporate Media Library Application is designed to run with minimal staff. In keeping with this spirit, the CML/LitCrit approval process is made optional so that critiques can be posted without screening. It is the administrator's job to choose whether critique approval is mandatory. When implemented, the approval process is convenient and not time-consuming; it offers built-in features that send rejection notices and post approved critiques to the public folder.
