Installing Server Software Requirements and Setting Up Required Services on Windows 2000

When Windows 2000 is the operating system running on the server, meeting server software requirements is quite simple. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and Microsoft IIS 5.0 are automatically installed with Windows 2000. The only remaining task is to install SQL Server 7.0, either directly or as part of the installation package provided by BackOffice 4.5.

If you install other applications using BackOffice Server 4.5, you might need to install the appropriate Windows 2000 service packs for them. Check the service pack requirements for individual applications.
