Adding User Locales

The user locale settings are used to change the linguistic conventions that will be displayed on an application's user interface. Conventions that can be set include the user's time, date, number, and currency formats. Follow these steps to set the conventions for a linguistic region.

  1. Double-click My Computer, double-click Control Panel, and double-click Regional Settings.
  2. Select the tab that corresponds to the settings you want to change (for example, Currency) and then select the desired settings from the drop-down list boxes.
  3. Click OK to finish.

Note that these steps do not require a reboot.
