Populating the Eval Database Catalog with Data

Before you can perform a full text search, you must build a catalog of full search indexes for the Eval database. There will be one index for each table column enabled for full text search. To do so, follow the steps below.

To populate a catalog

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, and then click Enterprise Manager. The SQL Server Enterprise Manager appears.
  2. In the Console Root pane, expand the Microsoft SQL Servers node, and then expand the SQL Server Group node.
  3. Expand the Server Name node, where Server Name is the name of your server.
  4. Expand Databases, and then expand the Eval database.
  5. Click Full-Text Catalogs.
  6. Right-click Eval in the Results (right) pane.
  7. Select Start Population.
  8. Click Full Population to populate the catalogs with data.
