Server Software Requirements

Before installing the PT Admin application, you must have installed the following technologies on the server computer.

• Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 with Service Pack 4
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5

  Note Only version 5 of Internet Explorer is guaranteed to work with the XML technology used in this scenario. No other browsers have been fully tested.

• Microsoft SQL Server 7.0

  Note You can install Internet Explorer 5 and SQL Server 7.0 separately, but Microsoft strongly recommends that you use BackOffice Server 4.5 to install them.

• Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)

  Note Install the Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack to deploy IIS.

Installing multiple software applications can be a complicated operation, often requiring the user to know the exact order in which applications and service packs must be installed. Using installation packages can simplify this process. For this reason, you should install these applications using BackOffice Server 4.5, which provides such an installation package.
