Changing the Generic Arena
Scenario 3 provides a generic arena in three languages: U.S. English, German, and Japanese. To deploy the Main Street Hardware arena, follow these instructions:
- Deploy the generic application as described in Deployment on Windows 2000 or Deployment on Windows NT 4.0.
- In the generic arena's en-us directory, replace the generic lingo.xml file already there with the lingo.xml file that implements the Main Street Hardware arena.
- Scenario 3 does not include lingo.xml files for building German or Japanese HTML files. Delete the generic arena's lingo.xml files in the de and ja directories. If you do not delete these files, the application's Build menu will present de and ja as menu options. When you build from these options, you will simply get localized generic files.
- Select en-us from the application's Build menu. The application will execute the XML merge process that builds localized HTML files from globalized XML template files and lingo.xml files. The Main Street Hardware arena localized for U.S. English results.
