Increasing Microsoft Exchange Server Security

In addition to using advanced security to protect messages, you can also increase the security of your Microsoft Exchange Server system by:

• Restricting access to resources by setting permissions for directory objects and public folders. For information about setting permissions, see Chapter 3, "Setting Permissions."
• Changing permissions for shared directories created during server Setup to minimize the possibility of tampering with Microsoft Exchange Server files.
• Configuring your clients to use encrypted RPCs so that data sent between clients and servers cannot be altered while it is traveling across the network.
