Creating a Disaster Recovery Kit

Planning ahead reduces recovery time. It is critical to build a kit that includes the following:

• An operating system configuration sheet
• A hard drive partition configuration sheet
• A hardware configuration sheet
• An Extended Industry Standard Architecture/Micro Channel Architecture (EISA/MCA) configuration disk
• A Microsoft Exchange Server configuration sheet that includes the following:
  • Windows NT tuning settings
  • Path information
  • Protocol addresses
  • Microsoft Exchange Server connector configurations
• Windows NT emergency repair disk
• Microsoft Exchange Performance Optimizer settings sheet
• Any other Items you might need for your site configuration
