- Administrator’s Guide
- Provides the important information you will need to evaluate, understand, and use SMS. This book introduces basic SMS concepts and features, explains how to design and plan a successful SMS implementation, and guides you through the processes of installing SMS in your organization, configuring your sites, and upgrading from SMS 1.2 to SMS 2.0. Strategies for security and maintaining your site hierarchy are also described. Important reference information such as system requirements, component definitions, system flowcharts, Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) class names, and command-line arguments for customized status programs will assist you in customizing SMS to meet your organizational needs and in troubleshooting problems.
This book is provided with SMS as a printed document. It is also accessible from the Help menu in the SMS Administrator console.

This extensive, task-based HTML Help system describes how each SMS feature and tool works and provides detailed information about the elements of each dialog box in the product user interface. Links to SMS-related Web sites are also available from within Help.
