Starting a Remote Control Session on a Client

Procedure Bullet  To initiate a Remote Control session on a client computer

  1. In the SMS Administrator console, navigate to Collections.
  2. Under Collections, select a named collection and then select the client computer you want.
  3. Right-click the client, point to All Tasks, and then click Use Remote Tools.

    The Remote Tools window opens.

  4. Click any of the available toolbar buttons to execute remote control functions on the client computer.

If the client does not have the Remote Control option, make sure that Remote Control is enabled on the server and that the Remote Control component is successfully installed on the client. Also make sure that you have security rights sufficient to perform Remote Tools on the selected client.
