If you are experiencing problems with Remote Control, try stopping and restarting the client-side Remote Control Agent instead of restarting the server or any other features.
The following procedures describe how to stop and restart the Wuser service on Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, and Win16 clients.
On Windows NT clients, the Wuser32 service is called the SMS Remote Control Agent. There are two ways to stop and restart the Windows NT-based Remote Control Agent on Windows NT clients. Both ways require local Administrator rights on the client computer. If you do not have Administrator rights, you will be prevented from stopping and restarting this service.

On Windows 95 and Windows 98 clients, the Wuser32 service is also called the Remote Control Agent. There are two ways to stop the Windows 95 or Windows 98-based Remote Control Agent. To use a third-party application to stop and restart Wuser32, do the following:
Stopping and restarting Wuser32 at a command prompt
Stopping and restarting the Wuser32 process
The Wuser service for 16-bit clients is simply an .exe file that runs as a function of the 16-bit Launch16-based client services. Any third-party application for removing active processes from memory will work to stop the client-side Wuser agent.
