Discovery and Inventory Tools

You use the SMS 2.0 discovery and inventory tools to perform the following tasks:

• Display Network Discovery data from the local DDR file.
• Send a hardware or software inventory resynchronization request to a client.
• Validate the syntax of a MIF file and report syntax errors.
• Extend a client’s computer inventory.
• Modify the classes and attributes that are collected for hardware inventory.
• Display data generated by the SMS Software Inventory Processor.
