Test Application Tool (TestApp.exe)

Use the Test Application tool to verify that a package command line and location are correct. This tool can be run as a dummy application when you test a software distribution package. When it runs, Test Application displays a dialog box indicating where it was started from and the command line used to run it.

Test Application Syntax

testapp.exe /s /success /fail

/s
Runs the tool in silent mode. No dialog boxes will be displayed. A status MIF file will be generated.
/success
Generates a success confirmation dialog box in addition to the success status MIF file.
/fail
Generates a failure status MIF file and a confirmation dialog box.

Using Test Application

By default, the Test Application tool runs in silent mode and generates a success MIF file. By using the /s option and /fail option together, you can generate a silent failure.
