Use the Stop Remote Control tool to stop the Remote Control Client Agent on a client that is connected to the network through a RAS account. When a client connects to a network through a RAS account, the client is not assigned a valid IP address until after the RAS connection is established. Therefore, you must stop and restart the Remote Control Client Agent after connecting through a RAS account in order to bind the Remote Control Client Agent to the valid IP address. Otherwise, an SMS administrator cannot use Remote Tools on the client.
After you use the Stop Remote Control tool to stop the Remote Control Client Agent, the agent will start again automatically, or you can restart it manually.
