Troubleshooting Tips
If you change the service account name and password, and SMS does not successfully implement the changes:
- Verify that the old service account name and password were not deleted before the new ones were created. If you delete the old ones first, SMS does not have the required security access to make the change.
- Check the Site Component Manager status messages and the Sitecomp.log to verify that the SMS Executive service and the server components were reinstalled under the new service account name.
