If the local software metering server does not have an available license for an application that a user at a client computer opens, the software metering server sends the client a message denying the use of that application, and the application is shut down. Next, the software metering server opens a callback dialog box on the client’s screen. If the user elects to accept the callback, the software metering server will notify the user when a license becomes available.
This flowchart documents the activity at both the client and the local software metering server when a callback has been requested.
