Status Manager in SMS 2.0 processes the status messages reported by SMS components. The process illustrated in the Status Manager flowchart begins after status messages have been generated by a process illustrated in one of the preceding status message flowcharts. This flowchart shows how status messages are written to the SMS site database, the Windows NT Event Log, an SMS parent site, and to a status message program.
The actions illustrated in the Status Manager flowchart take place on the site server. For information about how status messages are reported to Status Manager by the server components, see “Status Messages” earlier in this chapter. For information about how status messages are reported to Status Manager by the client components, see Chapter 25, “Client Features Flowcharts.”
