System Requirements for SNA Server 4.0

• PC with an Intel 486 class, single or multiprocessor Pentium, or Alpha AXP processors (Pentium class recommended)
• Minimum 32 MB of RAM, with 64 MB to 128 MB required for medium- to high-volume implementations
• Minimum 50 MB of available hard disk space. A complete installation of all components may require approximately 100 MB of hard disk space, depending on the overall configuration.
• Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 with Service Pack 3 and the Option Pack. Service Pack 3 is included on the SNA Server compact disc. You must install the service pack before you install SNA Server. The Option Pack may be downloaded free of charge from the Microsoft web site, http://www.microsoft.com, and will be included on future updates to Windows NT.

Some Option Pack components are required to run COM Transaction Integrator for CICS and IMS. The Option Pack includes the following capabilities:

• Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0 (IIS)
• Microsoft Personal Web Server 2.0
• Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC)
• Microsoft Transaction Server 2.0 (MTS)
• Microsoft Message Queue Server 1.0 (MSMQ)
• Microsoft RAS (Internet access and private networking)

    To use COMTI, you will only need to install

1. Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0 (IIS)
2. Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC)
3. Microsoft Transaction Server 2.0 (MTS)
