Twinax connections use twinaxial cable to connect to an AS/400 through a remote workstation controller or an integrated twinax adapter on the AS/400. SNA Server supports LU 6.2 sessions over twinax connections and supports speeds of up to 1 megabit per second. Twinax connections parallel DFT connections to mainframes in limitations and availability; therefore, this connection type may only be useful for testing a centralized deployment model.
Support for twinax connections is limited to adapters supported natively by SNA Server.
