Calculated Fields and Atomic Fields in Contact Forms

Microsoft Outlook Contact forms contain certain fields that derive their values from other fields; these are known as calculated fields. Fields whose values are not derived are atomic fields. When a Contact form is viewed using Microsoft Outlook Web Access, no such calculations are performed. The Form Converter converts calculated fields, but all fields in the resulting HTML form behave as atomic fields.

For example, the First Name and Last Name fields in Microsoft Outlook Contact forms combine dynamically to form the Full Name field. You can convert a form that contains these fields, but they will function as atomic. That is, in a converted form, the value in the Full Name field does not automatically change when you edit the First Name field.
