When the Form Converter generates a form's .asp files, it saves them into a folder appropriate for the message class of the form. For example, if you create and publish an Outlook form with the message class IPM.Note.req, the Form Converter creates a folder called req under IPM\Note — if it does not already exist — and saves into it the form's newly generated files.
The folder that contains the form's files also contains the files script.txt (see the "Script code" item under Features Not Converted), form.ini, and to-do.txt.
To save these files, the Form Converter needs write and read access to the folder. You give it access by sharing the Webdata folder. Doing so ensures that all the subfolders of Webdata — including those under Forms\IPM for all languages — are shared and therefore can be written to. This is necessary regardless of the names or share status of any other folders on your computer.
If the Webdata folder is not shared, form conversion will generate an error. For more information on sharing folders, see the Windows NT online Help topic To share a directory with other people.
Note The Webdata folder is created when you install Microsoft Outlook Web Access. If you accept the default location suggested by the setup program, the path to this folder is C:\exchsrvr\Webdata. If you change this path during setup, remember the path you choose; you will need to know it later when you share the Webdata folder.
