header

A set of name/value pairs that identify information about a message or a particular content body part. These headers are sometimes referred to as header fields, or message header fields. For example, a standard header for Internet messaging is the To header defined in RCF 822. Other common headers include From and Subject.

HTML

(Hyper-Text Markup Language) A tagging language standard based upon Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) for the World Wide Web. HTML uses tags, such as H1> to "mark-up" a section of text for rendering by a browser or email client.

HTTP

(Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol) A wire-protocol used to request and receive content such as files, images, binary streams, etc. The HTTP protocol was originally designed to as a means to request HTML files that resided on a network server. Currently, HTTP is being extended significantly to include essentially any kind of content supported by a particular server.
