Document Structure
This document contains eight chapters, each describing one aspect of the Windows NT for Alpha Systems call interface.
- Chapter 1 provides an overview of the standard. It defines applicability, architectural level, and goals of the standard, and it supplies definitions of commonly used terms.
- Chapter 2 describes basic concepts such as address representation and register usage.
- Chapter 3 describes the program flow control procedures.
- Chapter 4 describes data manipulation. It covers the passing and storage of data.
- Chapter 5 describes event processing. It contains exception-handling considerations and procedures.
- Chapter 6 describes multiple thread support. It contains stack information for a multithreaded execution environment.
- Chapter 7 describes invoking procedures and call chains.
- Chapter 8 describes the procedure descriptors.
