The ID3DXContext::RestoreSurfaces method restores surfaces in case data has been lost.
HRESULT RestoreSurfaces();
If the method succeeds, the return value is S_OK.
If the method fails, the return value may be one of the following values:

This method restores the primary (front buffer) surface, the back buffer surface, and the z-buffer surface.
