IDirectSound3DBuffer::GetConeOrientation

The IDirectSound3DBuffer::GetConeOrientation method retrieves the orientation of the sound projection cone for this sound buffer.

Parameters

lpvOrientation
Address of a D3DVECTOR structure that will contain the current orientation of the sound projection cone. The vector information represents the center of the sound cone.

Return Values

If the method succeeds, the return value is DS_OK.

If the method fails, the return value may be DSERR_INVALIDPARAM.

Remarks

The values returned are not necessarily the same as those set by using the IDirectSound3DBuffer::SetConeOrientation method. DirectSound adjusts orientation vectors so that they are have a magnitude of less than or equal to 1.0.

  Windows 95/98: Requires Windows 95 or later. Available as a redistributable for Windows 95.
  Header: Declared in dsound.h.
  Import Library: Use dsound.lib.
