This topic pertains only to applications written in Visual Basic.

In order to use DirectX for Visual Basic in a project, you must first ensure that the project has access to the type library.

In Visual Studio, choose References... from the Project menu. The References dialog box appears. Select the check box next to "DirectX 7 for Visual Basic Type Library", then click OK.
