These HTML files show you how to use transforms with Microsoft® DirectAnimation®. The simple demos show a single transform. The showcase demos show several transforms or enable you to define the parameters of the transform. You can launch a Window and display a demo by clicking on its name.
For a complete list of transforms, see the Transform Reference.
The following table describes the DirectAnimation transform demos that show a single transform. You can launch a window displaying the demo by clicking the name of the demo.
Demo Name | Description |
---|---|
Wipe | Generates an output image that wipes from one input image to another. You can set the width of the transition region between the two inputs, which is a dual alpha ramp. In the transition region, the images are blended.
Note To use this demonstration, you need to have Microsoft DirectX® Media 6, Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, Microsoft Windows® 98 Second Edition, or Windows 2000 installed. |
Slide | Generates an sequence of five images that does a Slide transition from one input image to the next. Note To use this demonstration, you need to have DirectX Media 6, Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows 2000 installed. |
Ripple | Creates a 2-D, distorted rippling effect (like waves from a pebble dropped into a pond), blending from one image to another image underneath.
Note To use this demonstration, you need to have DirectX Media 6, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows 2000 installed. |
ExplodingSailboat | Generates a 3-D explosion effect using a sailboat model. The faces of the 3-D mesh rotate and tumble as they move outward in the direction of their normal.
Note To use this demonstration, you need to have DirectX Media 6, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows 2000 installed. |
Filters on Vector Primitives | Shows how to apply transform filters on DirectAnimation 2-D vector graphics primitives. It also shows how to use a DirectAnimation ModifiableBehavior object with a button to enable users to select a transform and change its properties.
Note To use this demonstration, you need to have Internet Explorer 5, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows 2000 installed. |
Single Transition Slide Show | Shows how to create a sequence of images that uses the Fade transform as a transition for a picture slide show.
Note To use this demonstration, you need to have Internet Explorer 5, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows 2000 installed. |
Multiple Transition Slide Show | This sample is much like the other slide show sample, but it uses a different transform for each transition.
Note To use this demonstration, you need to have Internet Explorer 5, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows 2000 installed. |
The following table describes the DirectAnimation transform demos that display a whole range of transforms or enable you to choose transform features.
Demo Name | Description |
---|---|
MetaImage Transforms | Displays many of the MetaCreations transforms and enables you to view a transform's performance as it plays.
Note To use this demonstration, you need to have DirectX Media 6, Internet Explorer 5, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows 2000 installed. |
Shapes Transform Demo | This demonstration uses three different transforms with DirectAnimation behaviors to produce the output on the page. The Text3D transform builds each of the 3-D meshes for the words that describe each shape. The Shapes transform builds the meshes for each shape, texturing a grid image on each to highlight the shape as it spins in space.
The BlackHole transform creates the transition from the 3-D words to the shape itself, using a sequence of DAGeometry behaviors that repeat forever.
Note To use this demonstration, you need to have Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows 2000 installed. |
