About ICS Notifications

Incremental Change Synchronization (ICS) is a reliable mechanism used for obtaining information about folder events. ICS acts as a bookmark, so that changes in folders are never missed, even if the Event Service is down. ICS is also efficient: only one notification is generated per changed document.
