Web Based Management

Web based management (remote management) can use server-side ASP pages to run scripts or create COM objects to perform Exchange management tasks.

Scripts face security restrictions when run out of the administrator’s process (such as from a server-side ASP page). For running scripts out of process you will need to do one of two things to have administrator rights:

• Run the scripts within a Script Host that has administrator privileges, or
• Use the script to create objects that obtain administrator privileges. Then perform the management tasks from within the objects.
